A Disney trip can be pretty expensive.
Staying on property, getting your park passes, feeding your family and adding a rental car adds up.
There are ways around this!
Value resorts, skipping the park hopper, bringing food and using the Magical Express are just a few!
There are quite a few things that I personally need daily.
And Disney knows this.
I need coffee, food, a stroller… So they provide all of these things.
For a price.
But the internet exists. And I highly recommend using it to save money. Plan ahead to get the best bang for your buck!
A HUGE plus for delivering some of these items is simple.
You won’t have to pack it!
Saving time and space in your packing. Who wants to get on a plane with 17 bags just to save money at Disney?
No one. Because you will have to pay for all those checked bags!
There are so many things that can and will be sitting at the front desk for you to pick up and bring to your room.
As I wrote in a previous article, you can get cupped ice water inside the parks for free.
But I love just getting a case of water for the room.
You can carry them to the park or just have them at the hotel room. Bottled water never goes out of style.
This was one of the best ideas I’ve ever had. Years ago, when we brought my son for his second trip, we went stroller-less.
That’s right. Took our 3 year old to Disney with no stroller. When we got there we bought a $15 stroller off property like this one, and then threw it away before we left!
Saving hundreds from renting in the parks and we had it for places like Disney Springs.
You can also sprinkle some Disney magic by giving it to another family before you leave.
Breakfast and Lunch
Most Disney Hotel rooms have refrigerators. Make sure you check before getting food!
I love getting a huge box of pastries for the morning. And lunch meats for sandwiches.
Breakfast for my family of 5, just at the food court, could cost upwards of $60.
To save $60 a day for breakfast and another $60 for lunch is $120 a day! Just a 4 day trip, that’s $480!
You could use that towards a much wanted character meal or just straight up money in the pocket.
I know you think I’m crazy. But this is genius!
You buy a $15 maker with a $5 coffee of your choice!
That’s unlimited coffee for the whole family for the week.
If you and your spouse have two a day normally, this pays for itself on your very first day there!
I highly recommend getting your costumes shipped to your resort.
This way you are paying way less than park prices and you know that they will be there on arrival.
Dresses can be upwards of $200 in the park. There is no need when you can find gorgeous ones like these that will ship right to you.
Diapers and Wipes
Why waste luggage space on something that won’t be coming home with you?
Also if you are planning on going to the water parks, there are amazing swim diapers for your toddlers!
Although delicious, Disney snacks can get pretty expensive.
I do always try to get my little ones at least one souvenir snack per trip, saving money on all the other days helps out so much.
No melt down, delicious snack. Win win.
There are so many ways to save on your Disney trips. Dollar store trips and planning are the best two for me!
Make sure you call your hotel beforehand to get their exact plan for accepting deliveries. Some hotels with conference centers may have a charge for this.
